A very special place – amidst the breath-taking natural setting of Kitzbühel – and one of the last traditional mountain huts in the area…
This mountain hut has reached world fame not only due to Hansi Hinterseer (one of the most famous people in Kitzbühel) growing up there. It was moreover the cradle of the ski world cup in 1968 and is situated right at the possibly most famous ski downhill course worldwide…


A very special spot – amidst the stunning scenery of Kitzbühel and one of the last traditional mountain huts in Kitzbühel…

A magnet for hikers, skiers, mountain bikers and mountain lovers of all kinds…a source of energy for humans and animals and a total “must see before you die”!

Stop by for a “Seidl” (a small beer), or two, or three.

A successful „Alm“ is run by three strong women…


Women who, at first glance, you would not necessarily expect to be on an “Alm” – young, pretty, sporty and focussed. And these traits are exactly what the “new” Seidlalm is trying to represent, entirely true to the motto “A new Seidlalm for a new generation”. And since all three of them are locals, the “Seidlalm” is a piece of home for them, which they feel very strongly about.

Verena Thaler
”the Seidlalm hostess” with sense for her clients. She knows the finest wines in the cellar; she knows excellent cuisine and convinces with her warmth and charm. Instead of doing gymnastics in the morning, she cycles up the mountain for a quick swim in the Seidlalm lake before work.
Christina Thaler
Our farmwomen Christina has two very skilful hands. She cultivates the farm with all her heart and is the best animal mum one can wish for. For a change (and to train her muscles) she carries food and drinks through the Seidlalm now and then. And since no one has a chance of beating her in arm wrestling, she is also responsible for all craftsmen activities (loose screws and things like that…)
Isabella Kortschak
…closely in touch with nature and in love with all animals, our event manager is not only an enthusiastic mountain athlete, but just as enthusiastic in pre-tasting food and drinks up here at the Seidlalm. Everything we serve first has to be approved by Isabella’s stomach. A big fan of debit and credit balances, she organizes the bookkeeping around her touring skis. What is more, she also balances our customer’s event expectations so that everyone gets exactly what they wish for. And the best at last: finally she has found a good reason to learn how to yodel!
